The July 4th Grand Parade
Sponsored by the Monmouth-Independence Rotary Club, the parade begins at historic Western Oregon University in Monmouth and travels Monmouth/Independence Hwy 51 (aka Main St. in Monmouth and Monmouth St. in Independence) to end at Riverview Park in Independence. Pre-Registration is required to participate in the parade.
Please note that side streets will close ahead of the parade and remained closed for approximately 2 – 3 hours as the parade passes by. Alternative east to west roads are Hoffman Rd. north of town, and Stapelton Rd. south of town. Due to the 3 hour length of the parade, caution should be taken to protect participants and pets from potentially high heat conditions, and from walking on scorching pavement.
